Gardenia Early Learning, Ellen Grove – Nature Play Playground

Play the Wilde Collective partnered with Gardenia Early Learning, Ellen Grove to create a thoughtfully designed nature play playground that encourages exploration, creativity and outdoor learning. The landscape blends nature-based play, sensory experiences and active play opportunities within a lush subtropical setting, supporting children's physical, social and cognitive development.

Designed to maximise every part of the outdoor environment, the project features winding pathways, balance play, creek bed crossings, custom timber play towers, water play, productive gardens and dedicated outdoor learning spaces. Rich planting, landscape buffers and natural materials soften the built environment while creating immersive play experiences that connect children with nature.

Every element was carefully considered to deliver a practical, durable and inspiring childcare landscape that balances imaginative play with safety, operational functionality and planning compliance. The result is a vibrant outdoor environment where children can climb, discover, create and learn through meaningful interactions with the natural world.
