Ashmore Community Children's Centre – Nature Play Yard Upgrade
Play the Wilde Collective transformed the outdoor environment at Ashmore Community Children's Centre into a vibrant nature play landscape that encourages exploration, creativity and outdoor learning. The project combined yard safety upgrades with imaginative play opportunities, including new wet pour rubber surfacing, embankment stabilisation, artificial turf, bush tracks, timber bridges and natural play features to create a safer and more engaging environment for children.
A standout feature is the series of custom walk-through timber arbors, designed to support climbing vines and create living green tunnels as they mature. Hand-carved timber totems celebrating native Australian wildlife, sandstone play elements, sensory experiences and extensive planting further strengthen the centre's connection to nature. The result is a sustainable, adventure-filled playground that supports physical development, imaginative play and meaningful connections with the natural world.
